CLEVELAND, Ohio (October 04, 2002) -
In Hurricane Lili’s wake, FEMA-certified professionals from
International Management Assistance Corporation (IMAC) are
continuing to provide food, shelter and lodging so companies, hit
by the disaster, can maintain essential operations. IMAC is
considered the leading single-source crisis-response company in
the United States. |

As the
storm approached the U.S. mainland earlier this week, IMAC crews
were deployed within 36 hours to a Dow Chemical plant near Texas
City, Texas. They brought in, among other equipment, trained
professionals and a 48-foot trailer equipped with kitchen, laundry
and shower facilities so a skeletal work crew could maintain
essential operations at the plant. |

Elsewhere, IMAC’s services in hurricane-prone Louisiana,
Mississippi, Florida, Georgia and Texas make it possible for
electricians, surveyors, health officials and law
enforcement authorities to have easy access to meals and lodging
as they work to rapidly restore service and order in areas hit by
flooding. |

Another facet of IMAC’s services is providing contingency planning
and preparation services to companies. "Because we have the
knowledge base, and in my case, I am a FEMA-qualified emergency
program manager, companies can prepare well in advance of these
storms so they can maintain their critical operations," IMAC’s
Kenneth J. Mahoney said. |

Founded almost 20 years ago, Cleveland, Ohio-IMAC has provided
tactical security services, mobile catering and logistical
support, as well as skilled and unskilled personnel, to companies
and institutions that experience disruptions because of strikes
and industrial or natural disasters. |
