Thomas H. Kirk Joins IMAC as Director of Security Operations |

CLEVELAND, Ohio (April 14, 1998) - Thomas H. Kirk, former
supervisory special agent of the FBI and manager of corporate
security for Centerior Energy Company, has joined International
Management Assistance Corporation (IMAC), a full-service
contingency planning and crisis response company, as Director,
Security Operations, President and Chief Executive Officer Daniel
B. Auker announced. |

"As a
result of IMAC's growth into a full-service organization, we now
have created a specific position, filled by a uniquely qualified
individual, who will focus full-time on the security aspect of our
business," Auker said. |

|
As
corporate security manager for Centerior Energy, the parent
company of Toledo Edison and The Illuminating Co. from 1990 to
1998, Kirk was responsible for all strike planning and
security-loss prevention strategies, programs and services. |

That
responsibility ranged from handling internal investigations
involving theft and embezzlement to fraud and compliance issues.
Kirk directed a staff of more than 20 individuals. |
|
|
|
From
1967 to 1990, Kirk was a special supervisory agent of the FBI. As
unit chief at FBI headquarters, he directed all nationwide
background investigations and security clearances of Presidential
political appointments and served as FBI liaison to the White
House. |
|
|
|
As
supervisor based at FBI headquarters, he planned and coordinated
sensitive internal personnel investigations of FBI employees. He
also was a field supervisor of background investigations, property
crimes, public corruption/ white-collar crime, and a supervisor in
the Violent Crimes Program. |

|
|
Besides Washington, D.C., Kirk also served in FBI offices in
Savannah, Ga., and Cleveland. |
|
|
Kirk
was an officer in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1966. He has a
Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at
Binghamton. |
